Personal information in connection with this site is handled in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. The sections below take the thirteen principles in order and say what each one means on this particular site, followed by the matters that do not sit under any single principle.
Scope. This policy covers hollowtier.online and nothing else. The affiliate link published on this site leads to price-low.eu, and from there to a game vendor's own website; those sites, and every other site linked from here, are operated by other organisations under their own privacy policies, which you should read there.
APP 1 — Open and transparent management of personal information
This document is the policy required by that principle, it is published at a fixed address, it is linked from the footer of every page of the site, and it is free to read without identifying yourself. It is written to describe this site specifically rather than to describe websites in general. If anything in it is unclear, write to info@hollowtier.online and it will be explained or corrected.
APP 2 — Anonymity and pseudonymity
Reading this site requires no identification of any kind. There is no account, no sign-in, no registration and no form. If you write to us, you may use a pseudonymous email address and you will still receive a reply. The one exception is a request for access to personal information held about you: that request has to be matched to an actual record, so it needs enough information to identify the record.
APP 3 — Collection of solicited personal information
Two categories of information exist in connection with this site, and no others.
Server access logs. Kept by our hosting provider, which may store data outside Australia. Each entry records the IP address the request came from, the date and time, the URL requested, the referring page if your browser sent one, and the user-agent string your browser identifies itself with.
The content of emails. If you write to info@hollowtier.online, we hold your email address, your name if you give it, the message itself and any attachment you send.
Nothing else is collected. There is no contact form, no newsletter, no account, no progress tracking, no quiz and no survey. No cookies are set. No web fonts, analytics, advertising tags or third-party scripts are loaded. No profiling or cross-site tracking is carried out, and none is possible with what is held. The pages make no requests to any other server at all: everything a page needs arrives from this domain.
APP 4 — Dealing with unsolicited personal information
Sometimes an email contains information that was not asked for and is not needed to answer the question — details about other people, documents attached by mistake, information about your circumstances that has no bearing on the reply. Where it is lawful and reasonable to do so, that information is deleted.
APP 5 — Notification of the collection of personal information
This policy is the notification. Access logs are generated automatically by the hosting infrastructure whenever any website is requested, which is how the web works rather than a choice made here. Email is collected because you chose to send it. The purposes, the recipients and the retention periods are set out below, and there is no other collection to notify you about.
APP 6 — Use or disclosure of personal information
Purpose of each category. Access logs are used for security, for preventing and investigating abuse, and for diagnosing faults with the site. Email is used to read and answer your message. Neither is used for anything else.
Personal information connected with this site is never sold, rented, traded or shared for marketing by anyone. It is disclosed outside the publisher only in two circumstances: to the service providers named under APP 8, who hold it in order to run the server and the mailbox, and to an authority where the law requires disclosure.
APP 7 — Direct marketing
None is carried out. There is no mailing list, no newsletter, no promotional email, and no reminder about the course, because there is no mechanism on this site capable of sending any of those and no address list to send them to. Writing to us produces a reply to your message and nothing further.
APP 8 — Cross-border disclosure of personal information
Two recipients hold information in connection with this site, and only two: our hosting provider, which stores the access logs, and our email service provider, which stores the mailbox. Neither is named in this policy because neither is published as part of the site's own identity.
Both may store or process data outside Australia. The publisher is established in the Czech Republic, and these providers may hold data there, elsewhere in the European Union, or in other countries. If you would rather not have a request logged outside Australia, the only reliable way to avoid it is not to send the request.
APP 9 — Government related identifiers
No government related identifier is adopted, used or disclosed by this site. None is collected, and there is nothing here capable of collecting one.
APP 10 — Quality of personal information
Access logs record what the server was sent and are not edited. If something held about you in an email exchange is wrong, say so and it will be corrected or deleted, as described under APP 13.
APP 11 — Security of personal information
The site is served over HTTPS. It holds no database, stores no submissions and runs no application code of its own: the pages are static files. The hosting account and the mailbox are reachable only by people working for GO-SERVIS group s.r.o., using individual credentials. Information is deleted when its retention period ends, which is itself a security measure. No certification, audit or formal standard is claimed here, because none would be true.
APP 12 — Access to personal information
You may ask what personal information is held about you. Write to info@hollowtier.online with Privacy request in the subject line. There is no charge for making the request. A reply is sent within 30 days. In practice, unless you have emailed us, what exists is likely to be access log entries, which cannot be located without the IP address and the approximate time of your visit.
APP 13 — Correction of personal information
If information held about you is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading, ask for it to be corrected, using the same address and the same subject line. Corrections are made within 30 days, and if a correction is refused, the reason is given in writing.
Retention periods
Access logs are kept for 30 days and then deleted. Email is kept for 24 months after the last message in the conversation, and then deleted, unless it is needed for the establishment, exercise or defence of a legal claim, in which case it is kept until that matter ends.
Affiliate links
Some links on this site are paid affiliate links, described in full on the Affiliate Disclosure page. Following one takes you off hollowtier.online. From that moment, the game vendor and the affiliate network that operates the link are handling your visit under their own privacy policies, and they may use cookies or similar technology on their own sites to record that the referral came from here. Those cookies are theirs, set on their domains, and GO-SERVIS group s.r.o. neither controls nor reads them.
What comes back to the publisher is a commission report from the network: counts and amounts used to reconcile payments. The publisher does not seek, and has no interest in obtaining, information that identifies individual readers from those reports.
Complaints
If you think personal information has been mishandled, write to info@hollowtier.online with Privacy complaint in the subject line. You will receive a substantive answer within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with that answer, you can take the complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au/privacy/privacy-complaints, which explains how to lodge one and what the OAIC can do.
Data breaches
If there is reason to believe that information held in connection with this site has been accessed, disclosed or lost without authorisation, the incident is assessed promptly. Where it is likely to result in serious harm, the people affected and the OAIC are notified in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
Children
This site is not directed at people under 16. It teaches an adult how to approach a software account and is written for one. Nothing is collected that would identify a child, because nothing is collected that identifies anyone beyond what is described above.
Readers in the European Union and the United Kingdom
GO-SERVIS group s.r.o. is established in the Czech Republic, so the following applies to readers to whom European data protection law applies.
The legal basis for keeping access logs is the publisher's legitimate interests in operating the site securely and diagnosing faults. The legal basis for handling email is taking steps to respond to the enquiry you have chosen to send. There is no consent basis for anything, because there are no cookies and no other technology here that would require consent.
You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection to processing based on legitimate interests. Write to info@hollowtier.online to exercise any of them. You may also complain to the supervisory authority in the Czech Republic, the Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů), at uoou.gov.cz, or to the authority in your own country of residence.
Changes to this policy
When this policy is revised, the effective date at the top is updated. If a change is material — a new category of information, a new recipient, a different purpose — a note saying so is displayed at the top of this page for 30 days from the date of the change.
